CIVIL Department

Facilities

Lab-1
SURVEYING LAB

The department has well equipped laboratory, to begin any design or construction project, civil engineers must conduct surveys. The survey offers all of the background information and clearance needed to carry out construction work in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective way.

Lab-2
FLUID MECHANICS & HYDRAULIC MACHINES LAB

The Fluid Mechanics Laboratory course is an indispensable supplement to the theory. It covers measuring devices and techniques, error analysis in experimental works and analysis of assumptions in the theory of fluid mechanics. Hydraulics and fluid mechanics, or the study of liquids, is an important area for Mechanical and civil Engineers.

Lab-3
CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY LAB

The objective of concrete laboratory is to determine the physical properties of building construction materials like cement, fine and coarse aggregate.

Lab-4
TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING LAB

Transportation engineering is a branch of civil engineering that is involved in the planning, design, operation, and maintenance of safe and efficient transportation systems. These systems include roadways, railways, waterways, and intermodal operations. Typically, the demand is the amount of traffic.

Lab-5
ENGINEERING GEOLOGY LAB

The construction of large civil engineering projects requires knowledge of the geology of the area concerned. The geology of an area dictates the location and nature of each of the following structures: Dams, Building foundations, roads and railways.

Lab-6
CAD LAB

CAD allows civil engineers to plan layout sites, roads, bridges, sidewalks, etc., more accurately, saving them a lot of time. Read on to know why CAD is so important for civil engineers. CAD software is a wonderful tool that helps engineers and draftsmen do their job quickly and accurately.

Lab-7
STAAD.PRO LAB

Staad.pro is a structural analysis and designing software used to analyze and design RCC and steel structure according to the relative country code. It is one of the most used software by civil and structural engineers. It helps to automate their tasks by eliminating the tedious and long procedures of manual methods.

Lab-8
STRENGTH OF MATERIALS LAB

To a civil engineer the performance of materials in structures and their ability to resist various stresses are of prime importance. This laboratory experimental work is intended to help students in civil engineering to understand the physical and structural properties of common construction materials.

Lab-9
GEO TECHNICAL ENGINEEING LAB

The main objectives of the Geotechnical Engineering lab will be: Provide civil engineering students with the basic knowledge to carry out field investigations and to identify soils in Geotechnical engineering practice.
